Our Valentines Date

So Erik planned our Vday date this yr, we always do it a wk after to avoid all the chaos and we started it by hitting the gym.... can you tell a guy planned this or what?!  LOL  No really it was fun, we always talk about goin to the gym but usually can't due to kids or work schedules.  This is us before we got there.

This is us after he told me we were gettin a couple's message and going to see New Moon so he evened it out!  We enjoyed our time together but headed home early due to money and missin our babies.  So after the movie we ate at The Training Table and hit the grocery store, nice way to end a date huh?  Well I love this guy anyway and wouldn't change a thing!

Sometimes

Lately I have been having a lot of issues being away from my family for so long, I've always wanted to either work from home or only part time but of course you know how that goes the economy won't let us just be moms anymore.

I have been feeling like a bad mom with no control over things due to me working in Park City so just add 2hrs onto whatever my shift is for drive time, at irst I told myself I could do it cuz the money was good but emotionally I can't do it and I want to have another baby soon and I refuse to be away from it for 10-11hrs a day.  Well yesterday I was lucky enough to have my daughter tell me I'm the best mom ever, you know we love to hear that but I guess it was something I needed to hear because she brought tears to my eyes!  Then last night my mother in law decided I needed a girls night so she invited me over for a hottubbin girls night.  I headed over about 9:10 and we hot tubbed for about an hr then went inside to finish our conversation, I was there till 12:30am!  All we did was talk and exchange stories but it was so nice!  I have always been the one to listen, this started when I was a kid I just love to help people but sometimes I need to talk too but I don't like to bother people too much with my issues.  Well I came home with less stress then I headed over there with, I came home appreciating everything I have.  Sometimes you just need someone to listen and not judge.  Sometimes you just need that nod or agreement, not someone to fix things.  Sometimes you just need to feel special and appreciated.  Sometimes you just need to have someone who understands and tells you hey you aren't doing anything wrong, in fact you're doin a great job.  Last night I was lucky enough to enjoy a night like that thanks to this woman Mom Jan, you rock ツ  between Sereniti and your love I know I can make it and realize for my situation I am a great mom and person!

They care....

So I had a dentist appointment this morning and I have this huge phobia of them because like so many people I had a bad experience with them as a child.  Well I had them gas me and numb me more than needed ( I told them I didn't want to feel anything for a month), so I came home and explained to Sereniti what had been done at the dentist since she didn't believe I went.  Well during chill time she tried tomkeep Phoenix quiet so "mommy could sleep".  She was such an angel to let me rest, her brother even fell asleep HAHA and after 2 movies she took herself downstairs and played her games till I was ready to get up.  Also tonight I apparently have a girls night with my mother in law to ease some of my stresses, at least she told me I needed some time to relax so I'm excited.

Great Saturday....

So last night was a long night, not thinkin I was gonna have a good day goin to bed at 1am and then consoling a 4yr old and puttin her 2yr old brother back to sleep all the time knowing they will have me up at 7am.  Well first off they were up at 7am but they went back in their room after I got them a drink, I was up and down until about 8:45 after that but hey it's a good start :~)  Then they played with their older brother until waking their cousin up because Khalib adores Brent.  So I get in the shower and only have to tell Phoenix not to kick the door about twice ( I know it's a lot but it gets so crazy around here that's nothin) get ready to head to pick up a few groceries since Phoenix ate all the bread :~)  Well he then tells me he wants to go to "Ama's" but she's at work so I load the 2 younger kids into our van and head to her work since she was working it all worked out.  So we get back have lunch and go down for "wax" time (if you use the "N" word he refuses), which he decides he's gonna fight today, ends up with a scrape on his head but hey he's "otay".  I finally get the bug in my butt to clean so now my basement has been vacuumed and dusted plus Khalib's bed is made the right way and the trash has been taken out, the stairs have been vacuumed and the upstairs vacuumed plus a load of laundry all done before dinner!  After dinner Erik played with the kids while they were in the tub which gave me time to fold the other load of laundry for the night (team work ya!)  Put in Dora for Phoenix as it was time for our board game of Yhatzee with the kids and he is used to Sereniti coming to bed with him.  We finished the game and came into a passed out kid :~) put Sereniti to bed and got in my relaxing bath for the night while listenin to my relaxing music till I decide to crash.  So I felt like I got a lot accomplished, everything i wanted to in fact, plus didn't yell at the kids and had help!  Oh ya and we had tons of fun playing before I started cleanin :~)

So Blessed

Today has been an awesome day thus far.  My kids went to bed at 11:30 due to company but you can't even tell.  I have cleaned my house almost to my standards so the plans for the rest of the day are to hill until I hang out with my girls from work tonight!

I am feeling totally loved today!  I am so happy to have found my soul mate, he may not show me his appreciation all the time but I can always sense his love and devotion to me, like when he brings me home flowers unexpectedly!

My kids are so great, Sereniti can write her name and can write some of her letters.  Phoenix is talking all the time now, hardly any signs.  Khalib came over yesterday and has been so good with helping around the house and being a great big brother!  He was so excited to see his brother and sister yesterday it made my night!
I am hoping to be switching to a different position at work so I can spend more time with ym family, it's gonna mean more time in daycare but they love her and at least it'll be worth the money we pay her.

Ahh Barbie

So yesterday Sereniti and I watched Barbie's Christmas Carol (I think was the name) and today it was Barbie and the Three Musketeers.  I love spending time with my babies, they make my day!  Poor Phoenix had a nightmare last night so I had to sleep with him which made my sleep crappy due to the mattresses but i love how he cuddles!  Even on my cruddy days my family can somehow bring a smile to my face!  Erik and his obsession with video games tonight had me laughing, he thinks his game skills got him somewhere in life I told him just turnin girls on LOL  This is a pic with all my kids takin after their dad!
